Club Nàutic l'Escala

L’Escala Yacht Club is a sports association dating back 50 years and located in the Port, not far from the Greek and Roman ruins in Empúries and the Montgrí and Aiguamolls de l’Empordà natural parks. The sports section organizes sporting activities and events all year round and runs the Club’s Sailing School, approved by the Catalan Sailing Federation.

This section provides access to different water sports including dinghy sailing, cruising, kayaking, paddle surf, diving, open-water swimming, charter sail, charter motor and jet ski activities, for children and adults all year round. It also offers other activities aimed at discovering the local surroundings through sea water sports.

It has organized different international events, such as the World Sailing Championship (Europe Class) in 2012 and the Star European Championship in 2004, in addition to hosting training sessions of different sailing teams.
